Robbie Williams’ crazy car for sale

News, Personal life

Robbie in SmartA crazy Smart car previously owned by Robbie Williams is for sale on autotrader.co.uk. The Smart Crossblade was bought new by the former Take That star in 2004 and has covered just 114 miles since. Bought during Williams’ reign at the top of charts with his Greatest Hits album – which spawned the number 1 single Radio – the Crossblade is one of just 2,000 models built. Williams bought chassis number 008 – his lucky number – and Smart embarked on a number of marketing activities, culminating in sponsorship of his 2003 European tour.

The Brabus-tuned Crossblade has no windscreen or roof, and its doors consist of bars which are raised to gain access. Crossblades were supplied with a pair of goggles to protect the driver’s eyes. Developing 70bhp from its turbocharged 600cc engine, the Crossblade cemented its position as one of the strangest cars of modern times. Robbie William’s Smart Crossblade is for sale, priced £14,995.
