Robbie and Gary at the Arsenal match
There’s nothing Take That fans would love more than to see the return of ex-member Robbie Williams. And today reconciliation seemed on the cards, when the singer was spotted at a football match with former rival Gary Barlow. The pair had waged a public feud after Robbie’s departure from the boy band in 1995, but these pictures show they have well and truly buried the hatchet.
Robbie and Gary answered questions from a Sky Sports reporter
Robbie chatted to Gary and his two children in the stands before the Arsenal match against Manchester United at London’s Emirates Stadium. The old friends laughed and joked around as they answered a few questions from a Sky Sports reporter, with Robbie even putting an arm around his pal’s shoulders.
However despite the display of camaraderie it seemed there was a touch of tension in the air. When asked about the fact they seemed to be on friendly terms the pair gave lighthearted responses. Robbie, 34, joked: ‘We’ve not spoken a word to each other yet – we don’t know how this is going to go.’ ‘It could go either way this yet, mate,’ Gary added. When asked why, as a Port Vale fan, he was at the game, Robbie said: ‘Actually I do have to say that I call Man United Secret Vale because when you support Port Vale for as long as I have it’s nice to have a decent win every now and again. ‘I’m a Vale man but I like to see Man United do well.’

Meanwhile his former bandmates have enjoyed a successful comeback after reforming in 2005.Tickets for Take That’s 2009 tour became the fastest selling tour in UK history last week when fans snapped up 600,000 tickets in five hours. A tour spokeswoman said there were no plans for Robbie to make an appearance.
Jason Orange, 38, told the Daily Mirror last month that the group had resumed their friendship with Robbie, but a reunion wasn’t on the cards. He said: ‘Rob’s looking really well at the moment. We went out for dinner and he was telling us he’s been chilling out and writing a lot, but nothing with us.’ Take That release their latest album The Circus on December 1st and Robbie is due to release his new album next year. Hmm Dont know about this… He and Gary… well it would require much repair. If anything it would make shit loads of money for the lot of em’ Cant hurt I reckon. Might be better working with the old crew rather than Stephen Duffy. I reckon Rob should work with Jean Michel Jarre. Rob likes that Electronica, Depeche Mode type thing. Boy Bands are so yesterday Rob
You know if you did it. A fair whack of pride would have to be swallowed.
Why go to the bother of pretending to be friends just for the press, Rob is a stubborn man that has been through some troubling times. He has clearly got his act together and decided life is too short! Good for you Rob, besides your still the best Take That member in my eyes!
I was so pleased and over the moon to see Robbie and Gary together, I hope that the hatchet (whatever it was) has been buried, they are much older and more mature now and life is too short to hold grudges Good on you both, I just hope it is for real and not just for the press, You have made a older woman very happy – Good luck to you both XX
