Gary – who famously fell out with Robbie after the ‘Angels’ singer quit the popular boy band in 1995 – says the group have put their differences behind them and are hopeful Robbie will delight their fans by joining his bandmates on stage again
He told Britain’s This Morning TV programme: “We all dream of a day when we can be on stage together, even if it’s just for one song. I think it will happen.”
Gary and the three other members, Jason Orange, Howard Donald, Mark Owen, reunited this year for a series of sell-out live shows and are releasing a new album just before Christmas.
Gary recently revealed that he is worried about Robbie.
The ‘Back For Good’ singer is concerned that his former bandmate could have a nervous breakdown if his so far successful solo career starts to struggle.
He said: “Robbie has hurt me more than anyone else has. But as an adult and a father I’d hate to see him go through what I’ve been through, because I don’t know if he’d come out the other end. On a musical level, I know how much it keeps him together, doing this and being successful.”
