Take That are taking 14 chefs on the road with them during their upcoming ‘Progress Live’ tour, with the culinary experts expected to produce a staggering 1,100 restaurant-standard meals every day.
The British group – who have reformed for their first concert tour as a five-piece since 1995 – will be able to select meals from a plethora of cooks while travelling around Europe, with a staggering 1,100 restaurant-standard meals expected to be produced every single day.
According to The Sun newspaper, the chefs will be required to cook for the 287 crew members who will be touring with the ‘Love Love’ hitmakers, as well as a further 160 members of staff who will be on hand in each of the cities they perform in.
However, Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow won’t be indulging in the calorific treats laid on by the culinary experts, as the pair – who are joined in the band by Jason Orange, Howard Donald and Mark Owen – are focusing on losing weight for the tour.
Robbie recently revealed: “Me and Gary vary in weight. We go up and down by the week. Gary and the boys were at my house in Los Angeles last week when Gary turns to me and says, ‘I won’t be needing these clothes soon, do you want them?’ – because he’s going on a diet.
“That was the day I thought, ‘Right, if you’re eating a lettuce, I’m eating half a lettuce.’ “
